OMG! OMG! I am super excited about this week. I have been wanting to talk about this topic for a long time, but I didn’t have a specific question from anyone until last week. It just so happens that one of my twitter followers was complaining about his grades being so bad from his first couple of years in high school that he would never get into a good college. This guy is awesome (just like all of my audience!) And if there is anyway that I could help him get into the college of his dreams, I would do it in a heartbeat. So, hold onto your GPA because I am going to tell you how to KILL IT on Your College Application Essay!
Don’t be mistaken. This won’t be easy. Chances are that Chris (and probably you too!) have some ground to make up in the GPA (and maybe test score department). Lucky for you, I have a bunch of friends in college admissions and I had the chance to really get into their minds and see how they think when they are reading essays. I have heard about the good, the bad and the downright UGLY! And trust me when I tell you, that you want to write an essay that will make them swoon! (Look it up…SAT word.)
The best part of this advice is that it is all about YOU! This is your chance to help the admissions committee really get to know you. (Oh and a heads up for you..if you think for a second that they aren’t looking at your social media profiles then you are sadly mistaken! Thought you might like to know that!!)
